Projector service life is not the same as laser light-source life, lamp life or warranty period. A projector contains optical, electronic, thermal and mechanical components that can age at different rates, while application requirements may determine when the system should be replaced.

How Laser and Lamp Light-Source Life Should Be Interpreted

Laser and lamp projectors use different illumination architectures and therefore have different aging and replacement patterns. Lifetime ratings should always be interpreted according to the specific projector and operating mode.
